R.W. Green

R.W. Green is the writer who has taken on the task of continuing the stories of Agatha Raisin and Hamish Macbeth. A long-time friend of M.C. Beaton and husband of her former UK editor, Krystyna, Rod has been a journalist, editor and author in his own right, having written dozens of works of both fiction and non-fiction prior to becoming involved with Agatha and Hamish.

Rod began his career as an editorial assistant at legendary magazine publisher D.C. Thomson in his home town of Dundee. He later worked as an editor and author with a number of London publishers, writing over 70 books either on his own or in association with others before his first collaboration with M.C. Beaton.

When M.C. Beaton's health was failing, she offered him the opportunity to continue to write further titles in the series she had created. With a shared Scottish ancestry and background, he is ideally qualified to capture her humour and irreverence, as well as her unique voice. The first book he wrote with M.C. Beaton was Hot to Trot.

Rod lives in Surrey with his family and a yellow Labrador named Ossian.
