Today sees the publication of the 35th Agatha Raisin novel Killing Time, written by M.C. Beaton and R.W. Green. The series, which started with the 1992 publication of Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death, has been continued by R.W. Green since M.C. Beaton's passing in 2019.

Agatha's life has changed completely in the years since she moved to the quaint Cotswold village of Carsley. After retiring from a successful, if soul-destroying, career in public relations to enjoy a quiet, rural life, she found herself at caught at the centre of one murder investigation after another. Never one to run away from a challenge, she put her new-found skills to use and turned to full-time sleuthing, building her own private detective agency from the ground up.

Agatha Raisin’s agency has their work cut out for them when a series of shop burglaries disturbs their quiet Cotswolds village. When the break-ins take a violent turn and a murder occurs, it's all hands on deck to try to find the killer. And as if that were not enough to Agatha busy, her friend and one-time paramour Sir Charles Fraith has called on her to help stage a glamorous promotional extravaganza on the grounds of his ancestral home, Barfield House.

When Agatha begins to receive death threats and narrowly avoids being kidnapped, she takes advantage of a previously-arranged trip to Mallorca with her recent paramour, police officer turned professional dancer John Glass, to lie low for a while.

Can Agatha track down whoever it is that wants her dead, nail the murderer, and keep her romance alive too? It's a race against the clock as the Cotswolds' favorite private investigator rushes to put the pieces together before the seconds run out.

Killing Time is currently out in hardback, ebook and audio book formats in both the US and UK, with a mass-market paperback edition to follow in 2025.
